A LOT of
Frittered Away Hours Here
Because, you see, I have an iatrogenic ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) and can't concentrate very well or get much done in life.
I live near Topeka, which in my humble opinion doesn't have a lot to recommend it and surely is not the place to go to find a job, unless Goodyear would hire you, but then I've been here less than a year and hope I'm not so sure yet about the merits and demerits of the place.
The psychiatric industry is BIG here. Needless to say I intend to have as little to do with them as possible, except to be as a fly in their oinkment!
Topeka is home to Washburn University, which has one of the best rated law schools. The Kansas governor's mansion grounds, Cedar Crest, is a very good place to go for a walk or take to the trails on a sturdy bike. There are many man-made lakes in the area that appeal to fishermen. Manhattan and Lawrence are nearby, both college towns. Lawrence was burned to the ground during the civil war by Kantrell's Raiders. John Brown campaigned here before going back east where he was hanged by the US Army at Harper's Ferry for his abolishionist "terrorism."
Today State-sponsored terrorism enjoys a comfortable position in psychiatric "clinics" and "hospitals," and in prisons rapidly being turned into quasi-medical behavior modification camps.
