A New Fuse

find me a new fuse
for the circuits that talk
rewire those that crackle
whose insulation is burned off
where is the healer
to counter the shocker of sense
let me hold on to love
not an electrified fence

of heaven's corn
when the rocketing cob is done
with the lobbing of stars
one void is filled,
another born

My Beast and I

My head is in its belly
My feet are tickling its snout
Its swordfish-like probiscus
threaten any who might wish
to pull me out

I feel i've been there forever
even back before i was born
and will continue losing
layers of me
till the token sought
is found

It must be some valued wishbone
though it doesn't work for me
I have no will
to oppose being digested
if that's what will set me free

Jumping Rope

Jumping yet
the rope of shock
my brain so tired
to relate or talk
missing a jump means
to trip, to burn
and recover enough thoughts
to remember, and yearn..

Eat Your Snacks Now

eat your snacks now
they are told
i see them
many blond headed
chubby jowled
some have chocolate milk
and Ivar's clam chowder
nachos too
dressing in red top sweaters
seems the rule
the ferry passes the other way
my guess is they are for a visit
to the aquarium on the quay
a little one in Santa's hat
plays the fiddle
("Sleep in Heavenly Peace")
everyone claps
the six year old virtuoso plays on,
someone's talented niece
nearly across the water
children's voices calming me
beautifully
mountains, forest, and the sea

Wire Hoops

cutting
through thought's home
making bubbles
soon burst
into mere weightless freckle-foam
with no taste,
texture or appeal
nobody, defeated
away is zeal
