Canned Lamb's Tongues

 

 
In New Zealand I hear
it's very queer
canned lambs' tongues they do appear
upon the shelves both far and near
 
Is this the lambs' silence to ensure
or some other aim to secure
it is all unclear to me
as I ponder who to be
 
Whither, whence from where, from when
here we go, around again
I cannot stand on solid ground
can't even wear a frown
without it flipping out of control, upside down
